{"id":156,"date":"2005-04-08T08:36:56","date_gmt":"2005-04-08T12:36:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.folsoms.net\/wordpress\/?p=156"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"more-proof-that-the-lunatics-are-running-the-asylum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.folsoms.net\/wordpress\/?p=156","title":{"rendered":"More proof that the lunatics are running the asylum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Even here in Pennsylvania <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/6470259\/\">the creationists are making progress getting their religious beliefs taught in the public schools<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is interesting that in a survey of life scientists (those actually involved in studying the process of life)  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkorigins.org\/indexcc\/CA\/CA111.html\">99.85% of them rejected strict creationism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s right, a whopping .15% of people who actually know anything about life on earth would buy that the world was created about 10,000 years ago, in it&#8217;s present form.  To put this in perspective, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wrongdiagnosis.com\/s\/schizophrenia\/prevalence.htm\">the rate of Schizophrenia in the general population is about .81%<\/a>, or more than a 5 times greater rate than scientists who buy the creationist hogwash.<\/p>\n<p>Even most of the lunatics won&#8217;t buy it.  <\/p>\n<p>I guess the ones who do are on the school board in Dover.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even here in Pennsylvania the creationists are making progress getting their religious beliefs taught in the public schools.
